I am a solicitor in the litigation team and assist with civil litigation and criminal defence matters. Before joining Steindle Williams, I spent several years as a specialist criminal defence lawyer. I have a wealth of practical court room experience in the District Court with regular appearances in the High Court.
My recent experience includes:
- Success in the High Court in a relationship property dispute on jurisdictional grounds.
- Successfully resisting a Crown application for forfeiture of property.
- Successful defences in judge alone trials.
I hold Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Otago. I also hold PAL 1 and Duty Lawyer certification for legal aid services.
Outside of work, I’m a keen supporter of the AUT Mooting Society and regularly volunteer as a judge and coach to help law students develop advocacy skills.
